A September 14 Apple Store snapshot placed the iPhone 18 Pro at September 29–October 6 and the iPhone 18 Pro Max at October 6–October 13, making the larger model the slower option for later orders.

The reported U.S. delivery windows

Apple lists the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max as available starting September 18, 2026. The later estimates apply to new orders recorded in a U.S. Apple Store snapshot on September 14.

The two windows show a clear difference between the models: the Pro Max was assigned the later estimated range. These are fulfillment estimates for the orders observed at that time, while Apple’s listed availability date remains September 18.

Launch-day delivery is a different proposition

Early pre-orders were expected to arrive on September 18. That means the delivery picture depends heavily on when the order was placed: an early reservation and a new order made later in the pre-order period do not carry the same estimate.

Apple Store pickup, carrier inventory and authorized retailers may have launch-day stock separate from home-delivery allocations. Availability can vary by location and configuration, so a buyer who needs the phone on September 18 has more than one route to check—but none is guaranteed.

Why the Pro Max matters to the wait

For the orders in the U.S. snapshot, the iPhone 18 Pro Max moved into October, while the iPhone 18 Pro remained in a late-September-to-early-October window. The difference matters if the larger model is the one you want: switching to the smaller Pro changes the reported delivery range, but it does not promise launch-day arrival.

Both models were reported with 256GB, 512GB, 1TB and 2TB storage options, as well as Burgundy, Glacier, Silver and Black finishes. The delivery estimate belongs to the exact configuration selected, not simply to the iPhone 18 Pro family name.
