Aire: A Flying Guard for Your Home
Aire

When it comes to home security, there are plenty of options nowadays, but none quite as striking as the one offered by Aevena with its drone Aire, a flying guard for your home.

Aire from Aevena is the first drone that watches the interior of your home, surpassing the limitations of current security systems, cameras, and IoT sensors. Think of it as a flying guard that lets you see what's happening anywhere in the house, keeping your loved ones and property safe. With sensors covering a 360° radius, it alerts you when it detects or hears something out of the ordinary. You can receive notifications on an iPhone or Android device to quickly check whether it's a false alarm or if you need to call the authorities.

You can also control the drone remotely from your mobile device to check a suspicious situation when you're away from home, or even hold a video conference with your family, thanks to a built-in microphone and speaker. With its numerous sensors and security camera, Aire maintains a stable flight, avoiding obstacles such as furniture and people, and can land automatically. It also sounds and moves differently from a typical drone—more like a vacuum cleaner or hair dryer than the usual mosquito-like buzz.

More Than a Security Camera

Aire offers a number of features that could set it apart from a traditional security camera setup or a common drone. For example, it can be programmed to make regular patrol rounds, search for a specific person, and even take a photo on command. To fund the project, Aevena launched a Kickstarter campaign that quickly surpassed its initial goal of $50,000.

Aire will cost $1,499, but you can get it at half price by contributing to the Kickstarter campaign. The first units are scheduled to ship in December 2018. For more information, check the official Aire website.
