AMD’s September 2026 Ryzen AI Developer Platform update lists Debian 13 (Trixie), Linux 7.2.7 and ROCm 10.0. AMD’s release notes identify the system-image updates as current through October 1, 2026; the release also updates Developer Center and adds security-update controls.
Linux and ROCm move to new versions
The release’s kernel transition was from Linux 6.18 LTS to Linux 7.2, while ROCm moved from 7.14 to 10.0. AMD lists the system-image kernel as Linux 7.2.7+rex-amd64 and the kernel package as 7.2.7-1+rex1.
| Component | Previous version | September 2026 version |
| Linux kernel | 6.18 LTS | 7.2.7 |
| ROCm | 7.14 | 10.0 |
The system image is based on Debian 13 (Trixie), version 13.7, with further updates. AMD also lists BIOS 4.00; that version is reported for AMD Ryzen AI Halo.
Developer Center adds security-update controls
Developer Center 1.4.0 adds a Developer Platform Security section in its Manage tab when security updates are available. It checks for updates once a week. Updates apply automatically after five days and require a reboot, or users can start an update manually.
Software, power settings and fixes
The update includes ComfyUI 0.34.2, PyTorch 2.13.0+dfsg-0+rex2, vLLM 0.27.1, llama.cpp 0.2.0+dfsg1-1+rex2 and Lemonade 11.8.1-1+rex1. Lemonade adds experimental TheNoise ROCm image-generation and ds4 (DwarfStar) backends. The listed model and application changes also include Muse-Glimmer-30B-GGUF with draft decoding, vision and tool-calling support, Flux-2-Klein-4B/9B image models, and OpenMOSS voice-design and sound-effect speech models.
Suspend is enabled by default: the screen blanks after five minutes, and the system suspends after 15 minutes. Suspend inhibition is available through Developer Center and is enabled by default.
The fixes include random DMA corruption, discrete GPU issues in eGPU enclosures, GPU oversubscription handling and package auto-removal during updates. AMD also lists security fixes for the kernel, libdrm, GNOME Display Manager and Developer Center.
