The Origins of Ant-Man

Ant-Man is the next superhero movie based on the character of the same name from Marvel Comics. Created in 1962 by Stan Lee, Larry Lieber, and Jack Kirby, the comic story introduces us to Dr. Henry 'Hank' Pym, a brilliant scientist who invented a substance that allowed him to change size, becoming Ant-Man. Alongside his girlfriend Janet Van Dyne, better known as the Wasp, the duo fought crime and also founded the superhero group known as the Avengers. After Pym retired as a superhero, Scott Lang became his successor to assume the role of Ant-Man, kicking off this new movie.

The Plot

The story of Ant-Man presents Scott Lang, a criminal who must help his mentor, Dr. Pym, protect the secret behind the spectacular Ant-Man suit from a new generation of imposing threats. Threats led by Darren Cross, who takes over Pym's company and acquires Ant-Man technology to create the Yellowjacket suit. Now Lang will assume the role of Ant-Man, wearing the suit that allows him to shrink in size while increasing his strength, in a fight against seemingly insuperable obstacles to save the world.
