Anthropic’s May announcement about Colossus 1
In a separate announcement on May 6, 2026, Anthropic said it would use all capacity at SpaceX’s Colossus 1 data center. Anthropic described the facility’s capacity as more than 300 MW and over 220,000 NVIDIA GPUs.
Anthropic said the Colossus 1 capacity would directly improve capacity for Claude Pro and Claude Max subscribers. The company also said its compute deals had enabled higher usage limits for Claude Code and the Claude API.
