Apple opened a developer preview on November 3, 2026, that lets third-party apps expose content and actions to Siri AI through App Intents. The preview starts with four operating-system betas, while Apple’s separate list of Siri AI beta platforms also includes watchOS. The announcement describes early developer access, with customer shipping expected later. (Apple Developer)

What developers can connect to Siri AI

App Intents let developers make selected app content and actions available to Siri AI. Apple gives checking a delivery, booking a reservation, and placing an order as examples. For more involved requests, developers can create app “skills” that combine several actions in one experience.

The preview adds a developer-facing layer to the Siri AI beta discussed in NeoTeo’s earlier coverage: third-party apps can expose actions and content for Siri to use. Apple says the integrations can draw on Siri AI’s natural-language capabilities, personal-context understanding, and onscreen awareness.

The four operating systems in the developer preview

Apple named these beta systems for the new third-party developer preview:

ScopeOperating systems Apple lists
Siri AI developer previewiOS 27.3, iPadOS 27.3, macOS 27.3, visionOS 27.3
Siri AI beta availabilityiOS 27.3, iPadOS 27.3, macOS 27.3, watchOS 27.3, visionOS 27.3

Apple lists watchOS 27.3 among the Siri AI beta platforms generally, but not in its opening list of systems for this developer preview. The two platform lists describe different scopes.

The preview requires an Apple Intelligence-enabled device set to a supported language. Apple lists English, French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, and Spanish, and says Siri AI is unavailable to users under 13. In its November 3 announcement, Apple also said Siri AI was unavailable in the European Union on iOS, iPadOS, and watchOS.

Apple’s expected customer and App Store timing

Apple said first customer shipping was expected “in a few months,” and App Store submissions for apps using the preview were expected to open “in the spring.” Those were the company’s expectations in its November 3 announcement.

Apple also says some server-dependent features, including Siri AI, have daily usage limits that can vary with the feature, request complexity, system demand, system policies, and other factors. The company said expanded access to such features would be available for a fee in the future.
