Apple’s “Pro and Tell” media event is scheduled for Los Angeles on Wednesday, October 28, 2026. Mark Gurman has proposed a possible Mac announcement schedule around the event, but the reported product lineup remains speculative.

Gurman’s schedule is a proposal

In a post on October 26, Gurman sketched a three-day sequence: M6 iMac and MacBook Pro updates on October 27, followed by a touchscreen MacBook Pro on October 28. He framed the timing as what “would make sense.” An earlier reported timetable had placed the Mac announcements on October 28 instead.

The Mac models reported ahead of the event

Reports attributed to Gurman describe a base 14-inch MacBook Pro with an M6 chip and the current design, alongside an iMac refresh with an M6 chip and possibly new colors. The proposed schedule places those updates on October 27.

Separate reports describe higher-end 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pro models with OLED touchscreens, M5 Pro or M5 Max chips, a lighter design, and a Dynamic Island-style cutout in place of the notch. Those models are associated with October 28 in Gurman’s proposed schedule. The date is for Apple’s media event; the reported lineup and timetable remain proposals.
