Trading cards have become a staple of Steam, and millions of users log in every day hoping to grab another card. The traditional grind can be tedious, and unless you're willing to try every game in your library, you probably want to know how to farm cards without getting your account banned. That's where ArchiSteamFarm comes in.
I haven't delved too deeply into the world of Steam cards, apart from the occasional sale, and the desire to complete the Blasphemous collection. Fortunately, there are nine in total, and thanks to the Community Market I got the ones I was missing. I might do the same with Carrion (a gem you should play from start to finish)... but that's another story.
The two main ways to get cards are playing and searching the Market, but there's another alternative: farming cards. The problem is that if you don't do it the right way (i.e., with moderation), your account could end up suspended... or worse. However, when it comes to farming cards safely, all arrows point to ArchiSteamFarm, an open-source project with more than half a million users.
How to Farm Steam Cards with ArchiSteamFarm

Now, running ArchiSteamFarm isn't that simple at first. The program doesn't even have an interface, and all its activity is logged at the console level. All the relevant details for correctly configuring ArchiSteamFarm are available in its wiki, but in general you should use its configuration generator (it works offline, don't worry), go to the Bot section, assign a name, enter your Steam username, click Download, and save the .json file inside the Config folder.
Once you're done, double-click the ArchiSteamFarm executable, and at a specific point the program will ask you for your account password. This will send an email to your associated mailbox for 2FA. Enter the code... and the rest is a matter of waiting for the cards. Some may take several hours, so it's best to let the program work in the background.
Now, how safe is it to farm Steam cards with ArchiSteamFarm? The only isolated incidents involved users with hundreds, and even thousands, of configured bots. In other words, the problem is not the program, but how it's used. Obviously, advanced ArchiSteamFarm configuration is much more complex and there's plenty of room to push it to the limit, but if the plan is to use it with a single account and complete that card collection once and for all, you won't encounter any issues.
