On October 14, 2026, ASML reported Q3 net sales of €11.662 billion, net income of €4.960 billion, a gross margin of 57.5% and basic earnings per share of €12.95. The company also said its planned supply for 2027 and 2028 would not fully meet customer demand, and that it was investigating additional capacity for 2028. ASML’s Q3 release marks the financial statements as unaudited and says they were prepared under US GAAP.

ASML’s 2026 sales outlook
ASML forecast Q4 2026 net sales of €14.2 billion to €15.2 billion, with a gross margin of about 57%. For the full year, it forecast net sales of €44 billion to €45 billion and a gross margin of about 56%. These are company forecasts, separate from the Q3 results.
Planned supply falls short of expected demand
ASML said customers were raising their short- and medium-term equipment-demand forecasts, driven chiefly by their expectations for the scale and duration of AI-related investment. The company expects its currently planned supply for both 2027 and 2028 to fall short of customer demand.
The earlier capacity plan called for a 30% increase in 2026 low-NA EUV and DUV immersion capacity in 2027, while a further 30% increase in both was under investigation for 2028. ASML said it was now examining ways to increase 2028 capacity beyond that previously communicated 30% increase.
Some customers have also expressed interest in placing orders for 2029 and 2030. For separate coverage of demand in the chip sector, NeoTeo previously reported on TSMC’s September revenue.
