AT&T announced on November 4, 2026, that its Connected Life home-security service includes Gemini for Home features for describing camera events, searching recorded video in natural language, and creating daily Home Brief summaries. AT&T also says the service includes continuous video recording around the clock. The required Professional monitoring plan costs $29.99 per month in the US, according to The Verge’s November 4 report.

What Gemini adds to Connected Life

AT&T says Gemini can describe camera events, including details such as how many packages arrived, their size, and who came to the door. Users can also ask conversational questions about recorded footage, while Home Brief creates a daily narrative summary of video and household activity. AT&T separately says Connected Life includes 24/7 continuous recording and can automatically arm or disarm based on a user’s proximity to home. AT&T’s announcement describes these features.

The plan and connection requirements

AT&T says Gemini features require the Connected Life Professional plan, the Connected Life app, Wi-Fi, and an internet connection. The Verge reported the US Professional monitoring plan at $29.99 per month on November 4, 2026. That is the price of the required monitoring plan, not a separately stated Gemini charge.

AT&T also says video search depends on the event and an object being captured in the footage. Search may not find what you ask about if either was missed, and AT&T advises checking results because they can vary in accuracy.
