Attraction: Russian Alien Invasion Film

Russian cinema is pulling out all the stops for the coming year. Alongside the already known Soviet superheroes Guardians (Zaschitniki), there's now Attraction, an incredible Russian alien invasion film.

For next year, Russian cinema has prepared the Soviet superheroes of the motherland, Guardians (Zaschitniki). But before that release, we'll have a Russian alien invasion film: Attraction (Prityazhenie). The story begins when an alien spacecraft is shot down over Moscow, changing humanity's perspective on life beyond Earth. Many residents from a Moscow residential district gather to see the fallen object and meet its occupants, while beginning to question the existing civilization and the potential to learn more from these space visitors.

However, a group begins to demand that the aliens leave Earth, sparking a pitched battle. In the Attraction trailer, you can see the ship's arrival, destroying much of the city during landing. This provokes a strong commotion among local residents, the media, and military forces, who don't hesitate to head to the landing zone to investigate the arrival of the unidentified flying object. The presence of the space visitors divides people into two groups: those for and against. As always, there's the friendly relationship between a human and an alien.

If you were disappointed with Independence Day: Resurgence, Attraction might be the alien invasion film you're waiting for, drawing closer to Arrival in theme. The film stars Oleg Menshikov, Alexander Petrov, Irina Starshenbaum, Nikita Kukushkin, Eugene Sangadzhi, Daria Rudenok, and Rinal Mukhametov. Produced by Art Pictures Studio and directed by Fedor Bondarchuk (Stalingrad), Attraction will be released on January 26, 2017, in Russia.
