Meshmixer is a 3D modeling application that lets you create, rebuild, and sculpt 3D designs with ease. This free utility provides all the tools you need to improve the surfaces of an object or generate your own 3D model from scratch. As a free alternative, it offers a great amount of services for 3D modeling.
Getting Started
When you start the platform, you'll find seven tiles that let you import a file from its gallery or your computer, import a plan, and more. Now you can let your creativity run wild. On the left sidebar, you'll find tools to combine multiple models or build your own 3D object (including Sculpt, Drag, Pinch, Spikes, Mover, BubbleSmooth, Stamp, Shaders, and Paint Mode).
Export and Print
At the top of the utility, you'll find options to import, save, undo and redo, and change view modes, among others. Once you've finished your work, you can export it to your computer in various formats or print it on a 3D printer.
A Great Free Option
Autodesk Meshmixer is truly a great platform for 3D modeling, letting you showcase your skills in building 3D objects. It's a free application available for Windows and Mac OS X.
