Having old and outdated tools on your PC is an entry point for malicious software.
Once you download the program from its official website, we recommend not installing any Avira tools, as they don't contribute to the proper functioning of the platform (the last option has a close button). The tool will also prompt you to install a browser extension.
In the lower-right corner of the toolbar, you'll find the utility from which you can perform several actions, including the search for outdated programs. To do this, click on “Software Uptadater” and the scan will run quickly.
The platform will list all the outdated programs that need to be updated in a very visual way. From its interface, you can download and update the programs manually, either individually or in batch.
You can also see all the programs you have on your computer and the events. From the home panel, you can download several Avira tools such as the antivirus, its secure web browser, its internet speed test, or VPN, among other options.
The platform is genuinely a good option for finding and updating outdated programs on your computer, although there are better options than the one provided by Avira. Hopefully, with future updates, the program will improve.
