Baboom is finally available, the new free music streaming service that was initially developed by Kim Dotcom before he handed the project over to another group. So what makes Baboom special compared to the main music streaming services? For starters, Baboom combines streaming with a digital music store where users can listen to their favorite artists' catalogs for free. The service emphasizes supporting artists, especially independent groups just starting out, offering them 90% of the revenue they generate; something unique in a service like this.

Just as Baboom supports artists, it also supports users. Here you can listen to whatever songs you want, from any device, and create your own playlists without paying (though with ad interruptions). Of course, the service also includes a premium subscription for €6.62 per month that offers exclusive content, such as listening to new tracks from your favorite artists and removing ads, among other things. You can also upload your own music collection, unlimited with a premium account, or up to a hundred songs for free.
Exploring the Catalog
When exploring Baboom's catalog, you can see the latest releases from various artists. Selecting a cover shows the album name and artist with the option to play the tracks. Some covers show a price, as artists can also sell their songs. There's even an option to see upcoming shows and events from musicians. Another interesting detail is that you can search music by genre through categories (electronic, soul, funk, pop, etc.). One of the service's downsides is the absence of the most well-known artists, but on the flip side, Baboom is the ideal starting point for new independent artists taking their first steps with their loyal followers.
