Official miniatures based on comics and anime are easy to find, but there are enthusiasts with an incredible knack for customizing—and even improving—those original designs. One such artist is Japanese creator Y. Nakajima, who shares his modifications through the Badland Models portal. From an arachnid version of Thomas the Tank Engine to a Pikachu turned into a mecha, his images are pure gold.
Placing classic cartoon, comic, and anime characters in post-apocalyptic settings isn't exactly new.
