KOJIMA PRODUCTIONS confirmed on September 17, 2026, that Swedish actor Bill Skarsgård will play the lead role in PHYSINT, Hideo Kojima’s in-development action-espionage game. The reveal came during Xbox’s Tokyo Game Show 2026 broadcast.

The announcement introduced a poster featuring Skarsgård and Charlee Fraser. Footage from the presentation also includes the poster and production-test material with the two actors.
Kojima described earlier production tests
Hideo Kojima said he and Skarsgård had long admired each other’s work. He also said costume fittings, scans and camera tests with Skarsgård and Charlee Fraser took place earlier in 2026 and strengthened his confidence in the project’s direction.
Other cast members and the project
Charlee Fraser, Don Lee and Minami Hamabe are also named members of the PHYSINT cast. KOJIMA PRODUCTIONS describes the project as an action-espionage game, and Xbox is its announced publishing partner.
