Anyone who wants to join the Tor network and browse anonymously only needs to download the official module that includes a modified version of Firefox, but nothing prevents applying the same concept to other programs. Finally, what BlackBelt Privacy does is generate a modified profile for existing Firefox installations. This profile includes extensions like NoScript and HTTPS Everywhere to reinforce security within the Tor session. Even so, this option is not entirely recommended, because a traditional Firefox installation could share information «outside» of Tor, blocking any anonymity. BlackBelt Privacy was recently updated and works with all versions of Windows from XP onward.
