The Blackview Xplore 2 suits buyers who want a rugged phone with an exceptionally large battery and strong hardware. Its main trade-off is size: at 670 g and 29 mm thick, it is far less manageable than most phones of its time.
Its 20,000 mAh battery and 120 W charging are among the best of its time, and reverse charging is included. The 6.73-inch LTPO AMOLED display reaches 2600 nits, while its 521 ppi density is among the highest. However, the 67% screen-to-body ratio, 670 g weight and 29 mm thickness are among the weakest results. IP68, IP69, IP69K and MIL-STD-810H provide resistance to water, dust, impacts and drops.
The MediaTek Dimensity 8300, LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage perform better than those in most phones launched around the same time. This version has 12 GB / 256 GB; the phone is also sold as 16 GB / 1 TB. Connectivity covers 5G, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, USB 3.2 and dual SIM. The 50 MP camera records 4K video, but its f/1.9 aperture is worse than most of its time and optical stabilization is absent.
