Editorial report

Blackview Xplore 6 18 GB / 512 GB / Global technical sheet

The Blackview Xplore 6 is aimed at buyers who want a rugged phone and a very large battery, but its 600-nit peak brightness is a clear compromise: it is lower than that of most phones of its time. Its 12,000 mAh battery and 120 W charging, by contrast, are among the best of the period.

The 6.73-inch AMOLED display has a 1440 × 3200 px resolution, 521 ppi density and a 120 Hz refresh rate. Its pixel density is among the highest of its time. The body has IP68, IP69, IP69K and MIL-STD-810H protection, but at 428 g it is heavier than almost all phones from the same period.

A Dimensity 9400+ powers the configuration, paired with 18 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage. Its AnTuTu result is better than that of most phones of its time. The triple-camera setup includes a 50 MP main sensor measuring 1/1.3″ with an f/1.7 aperture; both the sensor size and aperture are better than those of most phones. Optical image stabilization is absent.

Wireless charging reaches 80 W, also among the best of its time. Wi-Fi 7 and satellite connectivity add options, while connectivity overall is among the best. Its 8.1 NeoScore is better than that of most phones launched around the same time. This is a compelling specification set for buyers who put ruggedness, battery capacity and performance first, provided the dimmer display and substantial weight fit their priorities.
