Bloodborne is unquestionably one of the best and most difficult games of the current era. And although this marvel is exclusive to PlayStation 4, a modder has taken matters into their own hands to create BloodSouls, a mod that turns Dark Souls into Bloodborne.

BloodSouls: Mod That Turns Dark Souls into Bloodborne
BloodSouls

Released in 2015 for PlayStation 4, Bloodborne introduced us to Yharnam, a gothic city whose inhabitants have been affected by an abnormal disease transmitted through blood. In the role of the Hunter, you must locate and eliminate the source of the plague while hunting many of the terrifying beasts that roam the city. Unfortunately for PC players, Bloodborne is a Sony exclusive and there are no plans to adapt it to other platforms. But once again the fan community does its thing and brings us BloodSouls, a mod that turns Dark Souls into Bloodborne.

The BloodSouls Mod

The creator of BloodSouls is the user Abject from the Nexus Mods site, who has made the mod for Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition. This mod includes: making use of the Hunter from Bloodborne along with their respective weapons, the saw cleaver and the blunderbuss (both weapons are replacing the Darksword and the Light Crossbow). It also includes HUD elements, icons, and items. The best part is that it also includes a light storyline to give context to the Bloodborne protagonist who wakes up in the dark lands of Lordran.

The user Abject has an impressive track record when it comes to making mods for Dark Souls. Only in recent months have we seen versions of games like Shovel Knight and Doom being transported to the gloomy ruins of Lordran. It is worth noting that BloodSouls requires the installation of DSFix, to change the icons and perform the HUD adjustments of this mod, and DSMODT, to load 3D models and textures in the game. Developed by Abject, the BloodSouls mod can be downloaded for free and installed easily following the instructions given by its author.

The official site for BloodSouls is available on Nexus Mods.
