Bloomberg reported that FuriosaAI raised $620 million in Series D financing at a reported $2.9 billion valuation. The Seoul-based AI-chip developer’s valuation was described as roughly four times higher. A private-round valuation is a financing figure, not company revenue or public-market capitalization.
The reported Series D
Bloomberg reported the financing and described FuriosaAI as competing in the AI-chip market, where Nvidia is a major player. The reported valuation reflects the round; it does not establish that FuriosaAI has displaced Nvidia or achieved market leadership.
Contributions Bloomberg identified
Bloomberg attributed $280 million to South Korea’s National Growth Fund and $110 million to international investors. The named backers included Infinitum Partners, Jericho Capital, Worldline Capital, QUDA Capital and NeoFort Holding.
FuriosaAI’s earlier financing
In July 2025, FuriosaAI said its $125 million Series C bridge brought its cumulative funding to $246 million at that time. The company said it intended to use that earlier round to scale RNGD production and commercial activity, and to develop its next-generation chip.
In September 2025, Bloomberg reported that FuriosaAI was preparing a potential raise of more than $300 million ahead of a possible IPO. That earlier plan preceded the later report of the $620 million Series D.
