Death Trash is a post-apocalyptic RPG with great pixel art. An adventure that blends the best of two worlds like Mad Max and Fallout, with desert lands devastated by radiation, inhabited by humans and mutant creatures.

Death Trash

Death Trash is a modern post-apocalyptic RPG with influences from cyberpunk, science fiction, horror, and trash. The first thing that stands out is the great pixel art thanks to the Unity engine; in fact, lacking a video, almost all the images (several of which are animated on the blog) are good enough to spark interest among genre fans. Inspired by classic role-playing games like Ultima 7, Planescape: Torment, and Fallout, this adventure gives the player great freedom of exploration, and fighting every enemy is not the only way to survive.

Death Trash features a world full of interesting dialogue and characters, an item crafting system, and real-time combat. You can use shotguns and psychic powers to defend yourself, but the action is not limited to combat, since talking with characters is also a way to survive in this hostile land. And speaking of the world of Death Trash, the settings have a grotesque design, populated by characters and creatures affected by a kind of radiation, with lots and lots of black humor and blood. The perfect cocktail for enjoying a full post-apocalyptic adventure.

Development and Release

Right now, Death Trash is in an early stage of development, and the next step will be a playable prototype; even so, its developer has already confirmed that the game will have mouse, gamepad, and local cooperative support. For now, we can't wait to get our hands on this adventure that seems to be the closest thing to playing Mad Max in Fallout. Death Trash is being developed by Stephan Hövelbrinks and will be available on Windows, Mac, and Linux. The game has no concrete release date, but it is expected to arrive during 2016.
