Recently we explored the route of newsletters and email distribution with a dynamic and adaptable style, while another option is imagining a website as a presentation platform based on sliding cards and animations. The third alternative comes through Designmodo Startup, a website generator that includes themes, special modules, and ready-to-use templates, with a responsive design that will look great on any device.
You have a project. You also have the will to bring it to a successful conclusion. But that project requires a solid web presence, with a perfect aesthetic. At that point most people stumble due to lack of knowledge or a simple matter of time, and if you feel you are about to fall into that trap, wait! There are many online tools that want to do the hard work for you, and the people at Designmodo offer you three.

Today I am going to share the third, Designmodo Startup, a website generator that begs to be the digital face of your startup or personal project.
Designmodo Startup: How to Generate Responsive Websites
Despite the natural language barrier, the Designmodo Startup interface is very intuitive and easy to learn. On the left side of the screen you will find a section with all available modules, divided into twelve categories. Don't know where to start? Don't worry: In the row of icons that appears under the project name, you will see the Randomize Layout function. Click there, and let Designmodo Startup generate a preliminary design. The standard configuration uses five blocks, but you can expand or reduce that number as you like.
On the right side of the screen things get even more interesting. At the top we see the list of presets: Colorful, Pastel, Brutalism, Simple, Old Town and Magazine. Immediately below is the menu of fonts intended for the heading and body of the page. The list is impressive, and although the interface does not provide a preview, I recommend exploring each font to find the style that best suits your vision. The third menu belongs to colors, and is separated into three subsections:
- Action represents the buttons, icons, and links. Replace one color with another, and Designmodo Startup will apply the adjustment in real time.
- Basic focuses on titles and subtitles. The four options are especially useful in more advanced and complex designs, but you will probably only use two at the beginning.
- Background does what its name indicates, which is to modify the background color. There are two entries here, for greater flexibility in case the blocks have different backgrounds.
Color selection is done with a palette, but if you need to match tones exactly across the entire page, I recommend applying the hexadecimal code, much more precise than the mouse pointer.
Finally, Designmodo Startup will allow you to alter the behavior of animations. The styles are ascending, descending, and pop-up. You can also adjust the animation speed, and as a last option, disable it if you don't want to see movement.
The rest is a matter of generating a preview in the browser (the eye icon under the project name), and exporting the final design. This is where the commercial factor of Designmodo Startup comes in. The free edition only exports a very limited number of blocks, but once the index file is in your possession, nothing prevents you from making modifications to the code in your favorite editor.
Those responsible for Designmodo Startup recommend basic knowledge of HTML and CSS, although it is not entirely obligatory. The most advanced responsive designs are released by accessing the premium version, with a quarterly payment of $89, or an annual one of $249 (which translates into savings of $107).
