The Guardians are preparing for war in Destiny 2. Dive into a new narrative campaign, innovative cooperative gameplay, and intense multiplayer competition as you explore uncharted worlds and uncover an arsenal of weapons and devastating combat abilities.
The story of Destiny 2 takes place a year after the events of Destiny: Rise of Iron, when the Red Legion of the Cabal, a militaristic empire of massive amphibians, attacks the Last City with overwhelming forces led by Emperor Dominus Ghaul. Believing the Traveler was wrong to bestow the Light upon humanity, Ghaul strips Guardians of their powers, forcing them to flee the Tower. Dispersed and powerless, Guardians must venture into new worlds to acquire new abilities and confront Ghaul and the Red Legion.
Destiny 2 is an action shooter with an epic story in which the Last City has fallen. Your goal is to reclaim it, exploring new worlds alone or with other players. The gameplay resembles the original Destiny, blending first-person action with RPG and MMO elements. It offers a combination of solo adventures and cooperative, competitive, and public activities across Campaign, Cooperative, and Competitive Multiplayer modes. You can choose among three Guardian classes: Hunter (ideal for stalking battlefields), Titan (armored war machines), and Warlock (bearer of arcane powers).
You can customize your Guardians with various gear and weapons before venturing through the solar system to battle the Red Legion. Take advantage of the open beta for PC available from today until August 31 by downloading the Blizzard app and enjoying the three main game experiences: campaign, cooperative, and competitive play.
Developed by Bungie, Destiny 2 will be available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One starting September 6, 2017, while the Windows version arrives on October 24, 2017.
