Classic characters in strange situations, unexpected gender changes… every time we think we've seen it all, artists and the Web in general prove us wrong. Disney princesses are an inexhaustible source of inspiration, and even though the media giant doesn't like people playing with its intellectual property, that hasn't stopped the appearance of real-life versions, goth, punk, dark, pinup, and modern takes on all of them. Today we make room for Disney Noir (officially "Noir Princesses") by Ástor Alexander, with the princesses at the center of what could well be noir crime stories full of passion, betrayal, revenge, and death.
There are nine images in total, and I imagine there won't be much difficulty recognizing each of the princesses. From "High Sea Robbery" to "Pocahontas Private Eye", our heroines are hunters, investigators, thieves, femme fatales… in short, anything but princesses.
