Ardesia is a free tool that lets you draw directly on your desktop and save your work in PDF, PNG, or video format. It goes a step further by letting you switch windows and continue working on the desktop or elsewhere without freezing the screen.
Tools and Features
The platform offers several tools, including background color selection, arrow, pencil, marker, eraser, and color palette. In the toolbar you'll find the pencil, marker, arrow, neat text writing, color palette, brush width adjustment, and eraser, among other functions.
Once you finish drawing, you can choose to save it on your computer as a PNG image or as a PDF document.
Record Your Drawing as Video
One of the most notable options is the ability to record the drawing process. Just click the 'Record' button and start drawing. The video is saved in .ogv format, which you can open with VLC.
