One thing we can't deny about the Web is that it's full of free resources for developers. From technical tools to visual elements, it's likely we'll find something useful for our projects. That's how we arrived at DrawUp, a new portal that offers hundreds of vector illustrations at no cost, and without license restrictions.

Blog? Website? Mobile app? Whatever? Sooner or later, you'll need an icon or illustration, and the good news is that there are high-quality free options. We've previously talked about portals like Open Doodles, the hundreds of icons shared by the folks at Tilda Publishing, and the excellent UnDraw with its vector drawings. Staying in the vector territory, today we want to add DrawUp, a site developed by Andy Mahowa with more than 200 free illustrations.

Finance, crypto, and artificial intelligence are the main categories

DrawUp separates its illustrations into dozens of categories, among which artificial intelligence, machine learning, cryptocurrencies, finance, and fintech stand out. The designs are relatively basic at first glance, but once we download the SVG files, their transformation potential is much broader. Alternatively, DrawUp offers PNG versions with transparent backgrounds.

The site also has a collections section to download entire packs of illustrations following a specific theme, but it doesn't seem to be working properly right now (only downloads a single design instead of a zip). Another detail that will need polishing in the future is licensing. The creator indicates that it's not necessary to include attribution in our works, but we still can't confirm whether the content adopts some variant of Creative Commons or is directly in the public domain. I imagine we'll see an update in the coming days.

The illustrations are available in PNG and SVG

Andy Mahowa indicates on his Twitter profile that DrawUp will receive weekly updates, with additional illustrations and improvements to the site's experience. Regardless of the final frequency, I think DrawUp already has enough material to merit a visit. Link below!
