Managing passwords with DualSafe Password Manager
Once installed, DualSafe Password Manager will ask us to create an account, or alternatively we can try guest mode. It will also ask if we want to add its extension for Chromium browsers, but it's optional. When adding credentials, DualSafe enables four categories: Login, Secure Notes, Personal Information, and Personal Info (the last two are clearly redundant).
The Suggested Password section also houses its generator. If we click on Advanced Options, DualSafe will activate parameters like length, use of uppercase letters, digits, and special symbols. As always, we have to be careful with symbols, as not all online services allow their use. If you prefer to access the generator directly, you'll find a shortcut further down, in the Tools section. The option to evaluate password health is part of the premium package, as is the Dark Web monitor.
In summary, the initial version of DualSafe Password Manager is limited to offering basic password management functions without too many surprises, and its password generator is very useful… but personally, I find it hard to recommend it for now. On one hand, it requires creating an account, when all password managers should be offline, and stay far away from the Web. Secondly, the free profile is closer to freemium than anything else. Finally, the program is not open source, and that can raise some doubts. Anyway, I'll leave a link below if you want to try it.
