Ellp is an IFTTT service to automate tasks on your computer. This way, you can automate starting music every time you plug in your headphones, launch a song when the system starts, or perform a specific task each time you open a web page, among many other tasks.
These services help your computer run better and save time, because you can automate freeing up disk space or download an image from Facebook when you're tagged.
Getting Started
Once you download the program from its official website, you'll see its straightforward interface. The first thing the tool asks for is your name and email address, so you'll receive an alert every time a task is performed.
Now you'll see icons for all the tasks, but you can also filter them to make searching easier: Seasonal, Storage, Devices, Privacy, Internet, Schedule, and All.
Automated Tasks
Some of the automated tasks the platform offers include:
- When you plug in your headphones, start music.
- When the disk drive fills up, free up space.
- When you decide, perform a privacy cleanup.
- When the same file is downloaded twice, let me know.
- When it's time to sleep, silence the sound.
- When you or someone tags you in a Facebook photo, download a copy.
- When the time comes, shut down the computer.
- When I turn on my computer, open my favorite website.
- When I plug in my headphones, open Skype.
- When my email is involved in a data breach, alert me.
- And so on.
To automate a task, just click on its icon and set the time or action (in our case, the time), then activate it. If you want to go further, you can edit the attributes. The task will be automated automatically.
