With the free YT Tracker add-on that works intelligently in Google Sheets, you can export YouTube videos and all channel metrics (in real time) to Google Sheets. The details you'll get from the sheets include channel ID, title, thumbnail, number of videos, number of views, publication date, and number of subscribers. For videos, you'll get titles, descriptions, comments, dislikes, likes, views, and types of metrics.
First, install the YT Tracker add-on from the Google Workspace Marketplace. It will request permissions to access your YouTube account. Then open a Google Sheets spreadsheet, click "Add-ons" and select "YT Tracker". You'll see two options:
- Track YouTube Videos
- Track YouTube Channels
Track YouTube Videos
If you click on the channel option (as shown in the video), the add-on will automatically create a spreadsheet with the following columns: channel ID, title, thumbnail, number of videos, number of views, publication date, and number of subscribers. To make it work automatically, just enter the channel ID in the first column. (In the URL, copy everything after "Channel".)
Track YouTube Channels
You can also collect all videos from a channel at once. To do that, select a column with the channel ID, then go to "Add-ons", "YT Tracker", and choose "Get channel videos". The add-on will bring all videos from that channel into a separate sheet.
Export
If you choose to export metrics for YouTube videos, just put the YouTube video ID in the first column of the spreadsheet (in the URL, copy everything after "="). The spreadsheet will show columns like Title, Description, Comments, Duration, Dislikes, Likes, Views, and so on.
YT Tracker is a very useful tool for any user. It will help you get all YouTube metrics in a few steps. Most importantly, you'll see all the information in a simple way in a Google Sheets spreadsheet.
