The new Fantastic Four movie is a contemporary reimagining of Marvel's superhero team. And this time Fox presents a new trailer that explains the team's origin along with their new abilities and the presence of the villain Doom.
Few people remember the previous two Fantastic Four films with much affection. However, this third installment that reboots the franchise may have better luck. The story centers on four young outcasts who teleport to a parallel, dangerous universe that alters their bodies in terrifying ways. Now that their lives are transformed, the team must learn to use their new powers together to save Earth from one of their former friends, now a dangerous rival.
In this new trailer you can see the new origin of the Fantastic Four. After surviving the interdimensional journey, the young people begin to exhibit unique physical conditions. Reed Richards gained the ability to stretch his body into any shape he desires, Susan Storm can become invisible and generate force fields, Johnny Storm is a human torch capable of turning his body into flames and flying, while Ben Grimm was the most affected, as his body changed to give him the appearance of a rocky creature but with great physical strength and resistance to all kinds of attacks. Together they will have to join forces to stop Doom.
The lead cast is composed of Miles Teller (Reed Richards / Mister Fantastic), Kate Mara (Susan Storm / Invisible Woman), Michael B. Jordan (Johnny Storm / Human Torch), Jamie Bell (Ben Grimm / The Thing), and Toby Kebbell (Victor Domashev / Doom), among others. Produced by 20th Century Fox and Marvel Entertainment, the film will be directed by Josh Trank (Chronicle). Fantastic Four is scheduled for release on August 7, 2015, in theaters, and can be enjoyed in 2D and 3D.
