The Barbenheimer effect put Dead Reckoning Part One in a tight spot, but beyond its box office, most agree it was a good film. Now, the definitive reckoning is coming at full speed for Ethan Hunt and his team: The Final Reckoning is shaping up as the close of a gigantic adventure that has spanned nearly thirty years, and it arrives on May 23, 2025.
However, both Tom Cruise and Christopher McQuarrie don't see it that way. In fact, Cruise wants to keep playing Ethan into his 80s, just as Harrison Ford continues with Indiana Jones. If we know Hollywood, it's not crazy to think there will be more "Mission: Impossible" in the future.
