A month ago I shared the trailer for ‘Salem’s Lot (now available on Max), but I didn’t mention that another Stephen King work was in the process of adaptation. That brings us to The Monkey, inspired by the 1980 short story, later collected in Skeleton Crew in 1985. Not sure what it’s about? Ten words: "The monkey is cursed, and everyone around it dies." With Osgood Perkins at the helm (the same as Longlegs), and Elijah Wood in the cast. (February 21, 2025, in theaters.)
