Triangle Factory’s Forefront is scheduled to arrive on PS5 on November 5, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. UTC, according to the PlayStation Store listing. The PS5 version requires PlayStation VR2, PS VR2 Sense controllers and online play. PlayStation Plus is required for online play.

What the PS5 version requires

The Store lists matches of up to 32 online players with PlayStation Plus. It also supports seated and standing play, and marks in-game purchases as optional. Headset vibration is optional; the listing also specifies vibration and trigger effects for PS VR2 Sense controllers.

In a March 2025 interview, Triangle Factory producer Jeroen Dessaux said bots would join matches with fewer than 32 players. That describes filling a match; the PS5 listing requires online play.

Cross-play and PSVR2 features

Gamertag VR’s pre-release footage shows Forefront gameplay, vehicle combat and the Breakthrough mode in Operation: Sandstorm.

The PlayStation Store says Forefront supports cross-play with other VR platforms. UploadVR identifies PC VR, Quest and PlayStation players as part of that cross-play. UploadVR also reports a 90Hz refresh rate on both PS5 and PS5 Pro.

Gamertag VR’s pre-release hands-on shows gameplay with squad combat and vehicles, as well as the Breakthrough mode in Operation: Sandstorm.
