A significant part of the Web believes that the famous fight between MegaBots and Suidobashi was a fiasco. Others, however, appreciated the "WWE format" of the combat and don't reject the idea of that duel becoming a more elaborate franchise. Personally, I think the thirst for giant robots exchanging blows wasn't fully satisfied, but the people behind the Furrion Prosthesis exoskeleton propose an alternative: instead of fighting, they start running. Furrion Prosthesis: The Giant Exoskeleton Designed… to Run? (Video)

From Fighting to Running

I calculate that most of our readers can still find features of Pacific Rim Uprising, and those who prefer a video game should keep an eye on Battletech, which will debut on April 24. Sometimes it becomes a bit difficult to fulfill the dose of giant robots destroying everything, and if we go by the only formal duel between the United States and Japan, there are many aspects to improve. One of them is speed. If a robot isn't strong, as an alternative it needs to be fast, a detail we can appreciate in smaller-scale duels, as long as we enjoy the "Sumo format". But what happens with larger designs? Something like this:

The Furrion Prosthesis

What you just saw is the promotional material for the Furrion Prosthesis, a giant exoskeleton that is four and a half meters tall and weighs 3,600 kilograms. With a pilot seated at the controls, the Furrion Prosthesis can move for one hour thanks to its battery pack, at a maximum speed of 32 kilometers per hour. Being (technically) an exoskeleton and not a robot, the fact of amplifying the pilot's movements opens a wide range of possibilities, but Furrion believes that the first step is to organize a series of races under the name X1 Mech Racing League.

With all due respect, I think it would be much more entertaining to watch a race of modified golf carts or lawn mowers, which by the way already exist in virtual reality. Furrion has been promoting its Prosthesis for over a year (it all began at CES 2017), and judging by the video content (with CGI worthy of the PlayStation 2), they will need a little more time.
