Samsung announced that Galaxy Buds On will become available in the U.S. beginning in early November 2026 for $229. Its October 28 announcement gives that broad window; TechRepublic reported November 6, 2026, as the specific launch date.

U.S. timing and price

Samsung Electronics America set the U.S. price at $229 and said availability would begin in early November. TechRepublic reported November 6 as the launch date. As of November 1, the U.S. availability window is still ahead.

South Korea and Europe

SamMobile reported that Galaxy Buds On went on sale in South Korea on October 27, 2026. On October 28, SamMobile also reported that Samsung expected European availability in early 2027. That is a regional schedule, not a date for any particular European country.

What the open-ear design offers

Galaxy Buds On use a C-shaped clip-on design that sits on the ear. Samsung describes the open-ear earbuds as a way to listen while staying connected to people and surroundings, with hands-free controls and AI features. That is the product’s intended use; it does not establish how well the earbuds perform in everyday listening or calls.

Samsung lists Android 12 or later and more than 1.5 GB of memory as the basic compatibility requirements. Some features may not be available on non-Samsung devices. Auto Volume is an experimental Labs feature that requires One UI 8.5 or later. Head Gestures are off by default and can be configured on devices running One UI 8.5 or later; dismissing alarms and reading notifications require One UI 9.0 or later. Quick Voice Memo requires a Galaxy AI-supported device, Samsung Voice Recorder and Bixby.

Battery life and water resistance

Samsung rates music playback at up to 9.5 hours on the earbuds and up to 38 hours with the charging case. Those are internal-test maximums: Samsung tested pre-production earbuds paired with a recently released Galaxy smartphone at default settings, and says actual battery life varies with use and other conditions.

The earbuds have an IP54 rating based on fresh-water splashes from any direction for up to five minutes. Samsung advises against beach or pool use. The charging case is not water resistant.
