If you have any doubts about its operation, you can always force the scanning mode by changing the “Delete?” function to “No, just test program”. A click on the “Clean” tab will show everything Game Cleaner deletes. The Steam section is the most complete, with parameters for multiple caches, GPU shaders, logs, and even screenshots.
On the Epic side, it can delete the launcher logs and three types of cache (general, scripts, and GPU), and in the case of UPlay, it deletes the logs in each game, the cache of its internal browser, and the pre-cache of GPU shaders. Game Cleaner is free and has a portable edition, but it depends on version 3.5 of the .NET Framework. For example, the platform paths must be configured manually every time you start Game Cleaner in its portable version, and if it doesn't detect any PhysX installer, it will throw a .NET internal error.
