Game Informer published a new Grand Theft Auto VI cover story on September 29, 2026, bringing a 14-page look at Leonida to its November digital issue. The story includes developer interviews and 12 exclusive screenshots; Rockstar’s official page identifies Leonida as the setting and names Vice City.

Leonida and Vice City: what Rockstar confirms

Rockstar identifies Leonida as the state where GTA VI takes place and names Vice City as a location within it. The company lists PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S as platforms and November 19, 2026, as the game’s scheduled release date.

The preview describes a varied game world

Reported preview details portray Leonida as a dense world of city streets, alleys, service areas and interiors, alongside swamps, beaches, industrial zones and abandoned tourist attractions. They also describe localized storms, including hurricanes, whose effects would reach characters and the environment, as well as more than 170 wildlife species.

The same reported details describe RydeMe as an in-game ride-hailing service. Players would be able to ride as passengers and use in-car activities such as listening to the radio, scrolling social media or talking with the driver.

The community’s Leonida map is not official

The State of Leonida map is a community-made reconstruction described as still in progress. Its roads and locations are part of that fan-created map, not an official Rockstar map.
