Geometria is a powerful program for visualizing and solving solid geometric problems. The platform includes several geometric problems categorized into four levels. You can start solving them and verify whether your result is correct. It offers useful tools such as an angle calculator, drawing measurement, and perpendicular tracing that you can apply while solving problems.
Installation and Setup
After unzipping the folder, you need to run the Startup.exe file. This activates the server (the environment works with a virtual hosting). On the desktop bar, you'll find the environment icon. Click on it and select "Start browser".
Using the Interface
The platform will start running in your default web browser. On the left side of its interface, you'll see the four categories of problems: Vanilla, Salt, Ginger, and Chili. After selecting a problem, you can use the various tools located at the top of the interface: length measurement tool, angular measurement tool, area calculation, volume calculation, joining points, drawing perpendiculars, intersection lines, angle of inclination, etc.
Checking Your Answers
In the central part, you'll find an annotation block. You can use it to note readings, variables, and make approximate calculations. Once you finish the problem, click on the Document menu and select Show Answer to determine if your answer is correct. Note: once you click Show Answer, you cannot make changes to the equation.
Availability
Truly, Geometria is a very good platform for solving solid geometry problems. Although you cannot add your own problems (you'll only use those in its database), the environment is ideal for students, professionals, or users who want to start in the world of mathematics. The program is available for Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux.
