Google said its nationwide Google Street View update for Uruguay was being presented in Google Maps starting November 3, 2026. The new imagery was captured over a longer period: reports place the dates between March 2025 and June 2026, with timing varying by locality. Google’s announcement gives the rollout date; it is not the capture date for every panorama.
Google says Street View first arrived in Uruguay in 2015. El Observador reported that the update covered 36,000 kilometers of streets and roads, including 10,000 kilometers not previously recorded by Street View. The 10,000 kilometers are part of the 36,000-kilometer total.
Reported capture dates for 11 places
Virtual Streets reported these earlier and newer capture dates. Each pair applies to the named place, not to every street in its department.

Selected scenes from Uruguay in GeoGuessr
A GeoGuessr session published October 30, 2026, by creator zi8gzag 2 shows selected Uruguay Street View scenes, including roads and views near Minas. It offers examples of the imagery rather than a survey of the national coverage.
Check the date on a specific panorama
In Google Maps, open the Street View panorama for the street you want to inspect and check the capture date displayed with that view. Dates differ by location, so a national update does not mean every panorama was captured at the same time.
Google says Street View is not real-time imagery: images take months to process and can be months or years old. Historical imagery is available in some locations. (Google’s Street View imagery policy)
