Google announced Gemini’s Customize hub on Oct. 21, after beginning a gradual rollout on Oct. 13. It brings connected apps and skills together in one place. To open it, select Customize in Gemini’s left navigation menu.
Manage connected apps and their permissions
Google says users can choose which apps to connect, then audit or disconnect their permissions at any time. The hub covers more than 40 external services, in addition to Google apps. That count refers to services, not a total number of Gemini capabilities.
Google Workspace administrators can also review and manage connected apps and third-party tool integrations in the Admin console under Apps > Additional Google services > Gemini.
Use skills for recurring tasks
Skills let users set custom instructions for repeated workflows, including preferred writing style, tone and response format. Connected apps link Gemini to services; skills shape how it handles recurring tasks and responds.
Android Authority reported that the menu is organized into Discover, Connectors and Skills tabs.
Rollout, platforms and U.S. availability
Google says the global rollout covers the web, mobile devices and the Gemini desktop app for Windows and macOS, across all user tiers. It includes Google Workspace customers, Workspace Individual subscribers and people using personal Google Accounts.
Google began the gradual rollout on Oct. 13 and said feature visibility could take up to 15 days. The announcement, published Oct. 21, also says most connected apps are currently available in English in the U.S.; select apps are available in additional English-speaking regions, Brazil and India.
