I admit my brain can't process the idea; however, on the Web, different "wrapped" and special summaries are slowly appearing. The 'Global' section is always influenced by the most important searches in the United States and India; however, we can say with some certainty that sports won this year. The Copa América (with Messi lifting his second consecutive cup and the crowd entering through the stadium ventilation during the final), the Euro 2024 (with a solid performance by the Spanish national team, and England losing its second final in a row), the T20 Cricket World Cup and the clash between India and England in the semifinal occupy the Top 4. The first two people on the search list are Liam Payne, the One Direction singer who died in Buenos Aires in mid-October, and of course, Donald Trump, elected president of the United States for a second term.
Among movies, Inside Out 2, Deadpool & Wolverine, Saltburn, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, and Dune: Part Two stand out. In TV series, the most popular were Baby Reindeer, Fallout, House of the Dragon, Heeramandi (an Indian series on Netflix), and the new version of Shōgun. What about the Spanish version? Simple: alerts for rainfall and heat dominate the searches.
