If the improved versions of Grand Theft Auto V for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One left you speechless, and even after trying the recent PC version you remain mute with astonishment, then wait to see this adaptation of Grand Theft Auto V on Virtuix Omni.
When Grand Theft Auto V was launched in 2013 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, it became an immediate sales success and an undisputed classic. But the best came a year later with the release of the improved version of the game for the new generation consoles, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Once again players were amazed, but not entirely satisfied. Something was missing. And after a couple of months, what everyone was waiting for came out: the PC version of Grand Theft Auto V, finally leaving fans of the series satisfied.
And taking advantage of the game's release on PC, the creators of Virtuix Omni, the omnidirectional treadmill that lets you walk in any direction within a virtual world using the Oculus Rift headset, achieved the dream of many fans: getting into the city of Los Santos to play Grand Theft Auto V with the Omni. It is known that the game was not developed to be played in virtual reality, but the people at Virtuix Omni managed to make a couple of modifications, resulting in an amazing immersion experience and quite fun to watch while playing.
This is not the first time we have seen something like this. Remember when a couple of years ago we saw the Omni and the Rift join forces under Team Fortress 2, which prompted the creators to make more videos with games, one of the latest being the demo of Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare (on Omni's YouTube channel you can see more demos of various games). The Virtuix Omni is already available for pre-order from its official site and would be arriving, if all goes well, in June 2015.
