If you're hunting for instructions on how to do or fix something, you'll probably end up on wikiHow, a portal known not only for its eccentric content but also for the illustrations that accompany it. wikiHow has several parodies on the Web, but one of the most interesting is a game where you must guess the title of the original article, based on its main drawings. Good luck…?
The Curious World of wikiHow
wikiHow is without a doubt one of the most visited portals on the Web. It's available in 17 languages, and according to its developers, at least four babies have been born in emergency situations without negative effects using one of its articles.
At the same time, wikiHow is part of "zero-rating" programs in more than 40 countries (which can be good or bad depending on how you look at it), meaning many people are accessing its content. Now, wikiHow also has its comedic side, so to speak, with articles that are pure delirium.
From "How to Steal a Boyfriend" and "How to Ruin a Wedding" (there's some compatibility there) to "How to Hide an Erection" and "How to Bless a Person," some of these guides are true gems we must preserve for future generations. And what about the illustrations…?
The Guessing Game
Strange, ambiguous, disturbing, and the ideal material for an addictive game where you must guess the title of the original article. Several of the images already make you laugh on their own, but the answers will directly steal a laugh from you, especially when you get it wrong.
All of them are multiple choice, and among them you'll find titles like "How to Have a Seductive Smell on Dates," "How to Live in a Cave," "How to Control the Urge to Masturbate," and "How to Do a Barbie Cosplay."
The rest depends on you, and on how "accurate" the illustration is. For example, a girl calling 911 while grenades and knives fly by makes us think of a couple of options…
More Quirky Games
The portal is the creation of someone called "Lemon", and it's not the only one of its kind. One of the most interesting allows us to guess which is the most popular search on Google from a pair of letters, and its name "idiots.win" already tells us everything. The wikiHow game has been online for two years, but it's definitely worth visiting.
