Can't find the wallpaper you want? Tired of the animated options? In that case, the best path is to create wallpapers on your own, and that will take you to the Haikei portal. There you'll find fifteen different designs, each with specific patterns and configurations, giving rise to thousands of available combinations, ready to download in PNG or SVG.
Solid colors, repeated patterns, themes included with the operating system, complete animations... when it comes to decorating your desktop, everything is valid. It's almost impossible to forget the BMPs that came in the early versions of Windows or the Microsoft Plus! packs with their cursors and sounds, but we've advanced a lot since then, and the options keep multiplying.
One of those options is to create wallpapers on our own, but I don't mean experimenting with a classic image editor, but rather betting on vector generation. With that in mind we arrive at the site called Haikei officially presented as "a web tool that generates SVG resources for pages, social networks, blogs, mobile and desktop wallpapers, posters, and more".
Haikei: Create wallpapers and visual patterns easily
The Haikei interface is divided into three sections. On the left we find fifteen designs that serve as a base, in the center we can observe the result of our adjustments (with a die to obtain random patterns), and on the right we have all the advanced values, which change depending on the type of design chosen. The most important thing to modify there is the resolution: You can use one of the available presets, or use custom mode to enter height and width.
Once the design is finished, Haikei will allow you to download it in PNG or SVG. For some reason I still don't fully understand (maybe it's a bug), the PNG version of the background is always smaller than configured. In contrast, the SVG download works perfectly, and I recommend using an editor like PhotoDemon to open the file and convert it later to PNG or JPG. Try it! Creating wallpapers has never been so easy.
