Intergalactic peace is interrupted when colonial worlds are attacked unexpectedly. And when humanity's greatest hero is missing, Spartan Locke is tasked with hunting down Master Chief and solving a mystery that threatens the entire galaxy. That's how the story of Halo 5: Guardians begins, the second chapter in Master Chief's story of the Reclaimer Saga, being the sequel to Halo 4. After the events of the previous game, Master Chief abandons the UNSC and sets out in search of answers. The ONI, concerned about what the hero might find, decides to send Agent Locke to hunt him down before it's too late.
During the end of the fifth season of The Walking Dead, two Halo 5: Guardians trailers aired. Each one represents the two sides of the same story, one from Master Chief's point of view and the other from Agent Locke's perspective. The latter character had his debut and leading role in the Halo: Nightfall miniseries, which takes place during the events of Halo 4 and Halo 5. Now Locke is preparing to make the jump to the games and make life difficult for our beloved hero. But who is Master Chief really? That's the question Microsoft poses in a new adventure where we will question Master Chief's intentions to see if he really is the person we think he is.
As for the gameplay of Halo 5: Guardians, much was analyzed through the multiplayer beta that came with the Halo: The Master Chief Collection edition. One of the most notable changes was seen in the replacement of Armor Abilities with Spartan Abilities, where each ability can be used by any character. There is also a wide variety of game modes, maps, weapons, and vehicles for the delight of fans. Halo 5: Guardians is being developed by 343 Industries and will be available exclusively on Xbox One starting October 27, 2015.
