During the '80s, He-Man was one of the most successful animated series that still resonates with audiences today. That's why a group of fans came together to create a video game faithful to the series: He-Man and the Masters of the Universe. What are you waiting for to play it?
The Franchise
Masters of the Universe, better known as He-Man, is one of the most famous franchises from toy company Mattel. Created in the early '80s, its main premise revolves around the conflict between the heroic He-Man and the evil Skeletor on the planet Eternia. The franchise has spawned a wide variety of products, including action figures, animated series, comics, and even a movie. Video games have also seen several adaptations over time, and this time we have a title being developed by a group of fans of the classic animated series.
Gameplay and Features
Keeping the same name as the series, He-Man and the Masters of the Universe pays homage to classic beat-'em-ups where you can control both He-Man and his closest allies: The Sorceress, Man-At-Arms, and Orko, among other surprises. Across several levels set on the planet Eternia, you'll face classic enemies like the Shadowbeasts or Mer-Man's minions.
As expected, each character has their own characteristics, like He-Man using his Power Sword or Orko's magical abilities. Additionally, you can perform combos during fights and throw objects like rocks at your enemies.
We also have the help of Battle Cat, who accompanies us in the levels and can be ridden. He-Man and the Masters of the Universe is being developed by the user bWWd from Game Jolt and is available for Microsoft Windows and Android.
Download and Play
Interested? The game is already at version 2.0.0 and you can download it right now completely free. To do so, you first need to download OpenBOR, which allows the game to run (the exe file is for Microsoft Windows and the apk file is for Android). Try it and tell us what you think!
