Honeywell Technologies announced Forge Cognition on October 14, 2026, as an AI and simulation platform for building and industrial operations. The company says it combines AI agents, operational data, engineering expertise and real-time digital twins—virtual models of physical facilities—to help operators assess conditions and coordinate actions across connected systems. Honeywell Technologies’ announcement describes the platform’s intended uses and its work with NVIDIA and Dell Technologies.

What Forge Cognition is designed to do

Honeywell describes several facility tasks for Forge Cognition. Its agents can classify and verify building-management alarms; a True Alarm agent is described as improving through operator feedback. Other agents analyze real-time heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) data to flag emerging equipment issues and guide maintenance.

For energy management, Honeywell says the platform can use digital-twin simulations to evaluate operating changes and identify potential energy savings while maintaining occupant comfort. The simulations are intended to help operators examine a scenario before changing how a facility runs.

Operators can set the level of autonomy

Honeywell says Forge Cognition supports manual, semi-autonomous and autonomous modes. Operators set the level of oversight and can override the system at any time. The announcement describes these as available operating modes without assigning a particular mode to any of the named pilot sites.

NVIDIA and Dell Technologies supply different parts of the platform

NVIDIA’s named technologies include Nemotron models, Omniverse libraries, Cosmos models paired with the Metropolis VSS Blueprint, and RTX PRO GPUs. Honeywell also described planned far-edge support involving DGX Spark.

Dell Technologies’ contribution includes PowerEdge XE servers, data and storage engines from Dell AI Data Platform, cyber-resiliency solutions, and Dell Services through the Dell AI Factory with NVIDIA. Together, the named components span AI models and simulation as well as computing infrastructure, data services and support.

Six reported pilot locations

Honeywell said it was piloting Forge Cognition at six facilities: NVIDIA’s Voyager campus; Fairmont Hotel in Dubai; NEX Mall in Singapore; Vanderbilt University in the United States; and Honeywell Technologies campuses in Bangalore and Richardson, Texas.
