The initial teaching is based on games to stimulate students' creativity, but when we move into primary studies, the game disappears and content is developed in a more academic way, which is where many students fail. SolveMe Puzzles is a platform that allows teachers to create math puzzles for their students. In this way, we will teach a hard science through play.
The first thing you have to do is enter the website and select a category. Before starting, we recommend you register on the site and have patience if you don't understand English, because the site is entirely in the language of Shakespeare. When selecting a category, you'll find several options: one is Play and another is Build. We will select Build to create. There you'll find various shapes and pieces to create the puzzle.
The web environment has three types of puzzles (Who Am I, Mobiles, and Mystery Grids), so you can create puzzles easily and when finished share them with your students via a URL.
To each shape you can add a color, a value, and a weight. In some categories, the toolbar is at the bottom, and in others on the left side of the interface. The site allows you to organize the game according to your needs. When creating the puzzle, you must keep in mind that the values you assign must verify the final answer (the result). One of the most important points of the platform is the ability to create puzzles adapted to mobile devices (you need to register), so you'll teach a hard science through play using a device friendly to students.
From the configuration options, you can change the background of the puzzles, the color of the titles, and delete the puzzles you have in "My Saved Puzzles".
The website is a great ally for primary school teachers, to teach math in a fun way, through puzzles that make it easier to understand fundamental math operations and their comparisons.
