We've all had moments when we look back at our social media posts and cringe. Facebook posts from a year, two years, or five years ago may no longer reflect who we are, and you might want to remove them in bulk. That's where Social Book Post Manager comes in: a free Chrome extension that lets you delete Facebook posts in bulk with just two clicks.
The platform scans your posts (based on the search options you set) and then you can mass delete them from a popup. Once you've installed the extension from the Chrome Web Store (install the extension), log into Facebook and go to "Activity Log" in your account.
Step-by-step guide
Click the extension icon in the top-right corner of your browser. A popup will open where you can set search filters: select a year, a month, or search for text that contains or doesn't contain certain words. After setting your search options, click "Delete".
Once the posts are listed, click "Confirm to delete", and the posts will be highlighted in yellow. If you're satisfied, click "Confirm", and a new popup will appear. Click "Ok" to complete the bulk deletion.
Important: by default, the extension also deletes your comments, likes, and other activity. You must manually uncheck those options to avoid deleting them.
Facebook does offer a way to delete individual posts, but Social Book Post Manager makes it possible to remove posts in bulk with a few simple clicks, helping you clean up posts that no longer represent you.
